Join National RTAP Review Board Member Laura Corff, Transit Director for United Community Action Program, Inc./Cimarron Transit, for an overview of pages she helped update in the ADA Toolkit and Transit Manager’s Toolkit. National RTAP Analyst Nancy Doherty will discuss updates to the State RTAP Manager’s Toolkit resulting from the 2022 State RTAP Manager’s survey. Resource Center Manager Cara Marcus will also introduce many of the updates to the toolkits.
“FTA’s Transit Asset Management (TAM) Program is launching a Peer Program with a Forum on TAM Investment Scenarios to be held 2:00-3:30 p.m. EDT September 29, 2022. The forum will allow staff members from transit agencies to meet virtually and work collaboratively to address ways to exceed the requirements in the TAM Rule (49 CFR 625). These forums promote peer-to-peer education, the distribution of peer-designed resources, and collaboration regarding best practices. Discussion forums are limited to no more than 10 participants, but FTA will share the outcomes of each forum with case studies and/or presentations.”

The chat will be moderated by Heather Edmonds and Jane Mahoney of the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC), Angie Jones, District Manager, Grant County Transportation District (People Mover), and National RTAP staff.”
“This year, the workshop will be hybrid, offering both an in-person and virtual option. The workshop brings SSO staff and RTA safety officers to participate in FTA-led sessions on rail transit system safety, oversight responsibilities, Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan technical assistance and other FTA safety policy updates. Contract staff that collaborate with the safety office are also encouraged to attend.”
