Jul 1 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION & REGISTRATION

TRB will conduct a webinar on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that examines the role polydrug use – the concurrent use of multiple drugs – may play in drug-impaired driving. Polydrug use includes illicit drug use, the intentional misuse of prescription drugs, or the concurrent use of multiple drugs for therapeutic use. More research into how different drug combinations affect driving is currently underway.

This webinar will discuss recent findings on polydrug use in the general population and among drivers arrested for driving under the influence. The presenters will discuss steps law enforcement is taking to identify polydrug use through the drug evaluation and classification program. They will also describe developments in roadside oral fluid testing that may allow for early detection of drug-impaired driving.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Transportation.

Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Sign into MyTRB.org to view registration information.

Webinar Presenters:

  • Ron Flegel, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Jennifer Harmon, Orange County Crime Lab
  • Chuck Hayes, International Association of Chiefs of Police

Objective-Driven Data Sharing for Transit Agencies in Mobility Partnerships
Jul 10 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Shared-Use Mobility Center will host a webinar discussion mobility on-demand. Advanced technologies are fueling the growth of app-enabled mobility service providers. Transit agencies and cities have looked to partnerships with these new providers—Mobility on Demand (MOD) solutions—to enhance their public transit services. A primary challenge in implementing MOD solutions has been reaching an agreement between the public and private partners over data sharing. Drawing on lessons learned from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) MOD Sandbox program and beyond, this webinar aims to help transit agencies implementing MOD solutions determine the right data-sharing approach for their project, considering benefits and trade-offs of various options.
